You may sometimes have questions regarding financial issues associated with your visit to Holy Cross Hospital or with a Holy Cross Medical Group physician. Or you may want to ask a general question about billing. There are several ways to submit questions about your medical bills. Please read below to find all the information you need.

For questions concerning your bills obtained during a Holy Cross Hospital visit, you may e-mail your billing questions to our Central Business Office at hospital.billing@holy-cross.com or call 1-833-961-2452 to speak to a representative in our Patient Financial Services Department.

For questions about bills concerning Holy Cross Medical Group doctor's office visits, you may email your billing questions to our Central Business Office doctor.billing@holy-cross.com or call 1-833-961-2452 and speak to a representative in our Patient Financial Services Department.

We Support Price Transparency

For our patients to understand their potential financial liability for hospital services, we are making our hospital charges available to patients. Click here for our Price Estimates page.

Hospital charges vary based on the type of care provided. The price can differ from patient to patient for the same services. The price will be different for complications or different treatments for the patient's personal health condition. Patients also may qualify for financial assistance. Please contact our Pricing Department at 954-267-7771 Option 2 for a price estimate for a Hospital service or to find out if you qualify for financial assistance. To help expedite your request to obtain an estimate, when calling please provide us with the following: Name, Address, Date of Birth, Insurance Name and ID number, all CPT codes for any testing and ICD-10 or diagnosis codes.

When working with your insurance company, we encourage you to:

  • Call your insurance provider prior to hospital admission, test or doctor's visit. (Patients may receive a separate bill from other providers (i.e. Radiologists, Anesthesiologists) and those providers may or may not participate in the same health plans as the hospital. Consumers are encouraged to contact their provider to determine health plan participation.)
  • Have your insurance card ready with plan/provider/member ID number and the name and/or type of plan (HMO, PPO, etc.).
  • Verify that Holy Cross Hospital and the Holy Cross Medical Group are "in-network."
  • If your plan is an "Exchange Plan," ask the insurer if Holy Cross participates in the plan.
  • If we are not in your plan, ask if your benefit plan has "out-of-network" benefits, and what are the out-of-network copayments or coinsurance.
  • Share with them the date of scheduled service, if booked.
  • Share the name of the procedure to be performed.

Insurance

Holy Cross Hospital makes an effort to contract with most insurance companies to help keep out-of-pocket expenses to a minimum for all individuals and families. Holy Cross Hospital works with most major insurance plans, such as Medicare, Medicaid, and many commercial HMO and PPO plans. Please refer to your insurance plan booklet or contact your insurance company to verify the participation of Holy Cross Hospital and its subsidiaries. The plans listed below are accepted either by the Hospital, Medical Group and/or the Outpatient Surgery Center.

Tiene derecho a recibir una "Estimación de buena fe" que explique cuánto costará su atención médica

• Tiene derecho a recibir una estimación de buena fe por el costo total esperado de cualquier artículo o servicio que no sea de emergencia. Esto incluye costos relacionados como exámenes médicos, medicamentos recetados, equipos y tarifas del hospital.

• Asegúrese de que su proveedor de atención médica le dé una estimación de buena fe por escrito al menos 1 día hábil antes de recibir su servicio o artículo médico. También puede pedirle a su proveedor de atención médica, y a cualquier otro proveedor que elija, una estimación de buena fe antes de programar un artículo o servicio.

• Si recibe una factura de al menos $400 más que su estimación de buena fe, puede disputar la factura.

• Asegúrese de guardar una copia o una foto de su estimación de buena fe.
